How to Heal from Church Hurt - Part I
How to Heal from Church Hurt
Have you ever experienced the deep pain of church hurt? You're not alone. In this uplifting and faith-filled episode, we dive into the journey of healing from church hurt, offering practical, scripture-based steps to guide you toward wholeness and restoration.
In Part I, we realize that healing from church hurt is not an overnight process; it takes time, intentionality, and a willingness to let God mend your broken heart. We'll begin by acknowledging the pain, understanding that it's okay to feel hurt and to bring those feelings to God. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God sees your pain and is ready to help you begin the healing journey.
In seeking healing, we have to first confront the loss of trust. As we question God's goodness, we find ourselves not trusting God. Then we have to deal with isolation, where we stop participating and we find ourselves withdrawing - where we might even see ourselves avoiding church and community.
Learning to confront spiritual apathy equips us to find passion again for the things of God. But sadly, church hurt can be the seed of bitterness and unforgiveness. This only deepens the wounds and hinders our spiritual growth.
Hopefully, this episode will help you build a defense against all of these strategies that come against you as you confront church hurt.
Healing is a journey, not a destination. Trusting in God’s sovereignty and timing is key, and we’ll provide encouragement to stay patient and open to His process.
Join us for this heartfelt episode as we navigate the path to healing together. Don’t let past pain hold you back from the joy and peace God has for you. Take the first step today—God is not done with you yet.
